ADJUSTMENTS
. "ON"
. "CAM"
. "AUTO 1"
. Set this so that "0 dB"
appears
on_
the
viewfinder screen.
Select the filter by turning the filter control.
Position 1 (3200K):
For shooting indoors or outdoors when
illumination is not sufficient.
Position 2 (5600K):
For shooting outdoors.
Position 3 (5600K + ND):
For shooting outdoors on sunny
days.
. Adjust the brightness
and contrast
of the
viewfinder picture. -
Back focus adjustment is needed only in the following
cases:
e@ When a lens is attached for the first time, or the lens is
replaced.
e@ When correct focus is not available in both telephoto and
wide-angle positions.
Procedure
Follow the steps in "Before making adjustments".
@ Back focus adjustment should be done while referring to the
viewfinder picture.
@ More correct adjustment is possible if the subject is at a
distance of more than 3 m from the camera.
. Set the iris mode switch to MANU.
Set the zoom mode switch to M.
. Set the iris ring to "open" (1.4).
If the illumination is too strong, reduce it or move to a darker
place.
4. Set the zoom lever fully to TELE.
5. Focus on the subject.
6. Set the zoom lever fully to WIDE.
7. Loosen the back focus ring retaining knob.

. Adjust the back focus ring for the best possible focus.
. Repeat steps 4 through 8 several times for fine adjustment.
10.Tighten the back focus ring retaining knob to secure the
back focus ring.
