1. Make sure that the unit is in the Record-Pause mode.

2. To search in the reverse direction, keep the REV button
depressed. To search in the forward direction, keep the
FWD button depressed. When the button is released, the
Record-Pause mode will be engaged.
Notes for VTR operation
@ When recording in the VHS mode on a tape previously
recorded in the S-VHS mode, it is not possible to search
or edit S-VHS recordings.
