The status display function indicates the statuses of the
camera and VTR on the viewfinder screen. Three display
modes are available: Mode-0, Mode-1, and Mode-2.
Mode-0 is engaged when the power is switched on.
To select the mode:
1. Press the DISP. SEL button.
Each time, the button is pressed, the mode changes in the
following sequence:
: Mode-O ——> Mode-1 ——* Mode-2 :
e During tape playback, or when a title is on the screen, the
status display cannot be used.
Mode-0
@® The recording level of the audio track selected with the
AUDIO SELECT switch (see page 27) is displayed as
monaural (L + R) in 7 steps.
This indication can be defeated using the memory function.

Mode-1
©@ The operating status of the VTR is displayed.
STDBY : Recording standby (Record-Pause)
REC : Recording in progress
QREC : Quick recording in progress
QREC (blinking) : Special mode quick recording in
progress
No indication : Playback (including search)
@ The remaining tape time is displayed in minutes.
">5MIN" is displayed until the tape reaches the point 5
minutes before the tape end, after which the time is
displayed in minutes.
@ One of the following, selected by the memory function, is
displayed: (See page 32.)
Battery voltage
Camera sensitivity : same as @
Filter position : same as @
Shutter speed : same as
White balance mode : same as
Mode-2
The camera status, battery voltage, etc. are displayed together.

(Initial indication prior to shipment is "PRESET INITIAL".)
@ Camera sensitivity: 0 dB, 6 dB, 9 dB, 12 dB, 18 dB, ALC
White balance mode : PRESET, AW1, AW2
