Chapter 3: Installing software
MGA drivers

Installing the software

Once the Matrox Corona board is installed, install the
purchased Matrox Corona software package. To do so, place the
CD of the package in the appropriate drive. Under Windows,
the setup.exe program will run automatically. Under DOS, type
at the prompt (using the appropriate drive letter):
d:\install
When installing the software, you can choose to install the
MGA WIN NT or MGA WIN 95 display driver. If you are using
Matrox Corona as the VGA under Windows NT or Windows 95,
you should install the display driver. After the display driver is
installed, a new Windows group called MGA PowerDesk is
created, and you can control the display using the MGA Display
Properties utility. The MGA PowerDesk group, as well as the
MGA Display Properties utility, are described in Chapter 4.
If you already have another version of the MGA driver
installed on your system, we recommend that you uninstall
it and install the version on your software CD.
After installation, read any readme file(s) recommended by the
installation program.

MIL-Lite uses digitizer configuration format (DCF) files to
configure the camera interface on Matrox digitizers. The DCF
defines among other things video timing signals and the video
data format. Matrox Intellicam can be used to create or
customize a digitizer configuration format (DCF) file, if the
supplied files do not include one that matches your video source.
For more information about Matrox Intellicam, refer to the
Matrox Intellicam User Guide.
