Installing the internal USB bracket

The Matrox Supersight package includes an accessory bag with an internal USB
bracket. This bracket is useful in cases where you do not want to risk having a USB
connection disconnected. The internal USB bracket also saves you a slot at the
back of the Matrox Supersight unit, which you can use for other boards you might
want to install.
The internal USB bracket will not have any USB connectors attached to it;
however, a straight USB bracket (also included) provides two additional USB
connectors on one end and a single 9-pin USB connector on the other end (this is
used for connecting to a USB header). You can remove these USB connectors from
the straight USB bracket and attach them to the internal USB bracket. To attach
the USB connectors to the internal USB bracket, perform the following:
1. Find the straight USB bracket in your accessory bag and remove the bracket screws:
USB connectors
2. Once the screws are removed and the USB connectors are free from the straight
bracket, locate your internal USB bracket and attach the USB connectors to the
bracket with the available screws from the straight bracket.
Once the internal USB bracket has been populated with the USB connectors, now
you can install it inside your Matrox Supersight. To install the internal USB
bracket, perform the following:
1. Power down and unplug the Matrox Supersight unit from its power source.
2. Remove the chassis cover. For more information, see the Removing the chassis cover,
earlier in this chapter.
