Installation of the lock

Ensure the lock is correctly aligned to the locking counterpart: Ensure that the strike plate and locking
counterpart are perfectly aligned (±4.5 mm) during installation. Otherwise, the door status cannot be
detected correctly and the lock cannot function correctly.
Note!
Mounting in the door frame: Optionally, the swing bolt can also be mounted in the door frame ("Mount-
ing in the door frame", page 32) or glued onto glass surfaces in an optionally available surface-mounted
housing ("Installation on glass surfaces", page 31).

Preparation for mounting

1 Create the lock pocket at a suitable mounting position ("Figures", page 92).
2 Finish the holes for the fixing screws.
3 Clean the lock pocket and all holes by blowing them out or vacuuming.
 The lock pocket is ready for mounting the device.

Electrical connections

1 Connect the control cable (voltage supply) and the monitoring contacts ("Electrical connection",
page 33).
 The swing bolt is connected.

Installing the swing bolt

The sensors of the electric swing bolt 842-SA1 require the locking counterpart and lock to be positioned
precisely (±4.5 mm).
1 Screw in the swing bolt in the lock pocket (Fig. 7, page 94 and Fig. 8, page 95).
 The swing bolt is mounted.
