Warning!
Danger to life due to electric shock: Improper wiring is life-threatening and can ruin the lock. Only a
trained, qualified person may connect the power supply.
Caution!
Risk of injury due to damage: Damage can lead to electric shock. Damage to the metal parts can cause
injury. A damaged device is a safety risk. Check the packaging and the lock for damage. A damaged device
must not be put into operation.
Trip hazard created by installation in the floor: The swing bolt must not be installed in the floor.
Risk of tripping. The lock can be ruined if stepped on and if dirt penetrates it.
Risk of injury due to sharp edges and chippings: There is a risk of injury due to sharp edges and chip-
pings from drilling or other cutting work. Take particular care to protect your eyes with suitable protective
goggles. The work may only be performed by an appropriately qualified person.
At tention!
Do not drill into the device: You will damage the lock if you drill any additional holes in it.
Protect against the penetration of dirt and chippings: The lock can be damaged from the penetration of
chips or dirt.
Clean the lock pocket before installation: Before installing the lock in the door or door frame, the lock
pocket and all holes must be cleaned (blown out or vacuumed). The lock can be damaged if chippings or
shavings fall inside.
Tension-free installation: The lock must be installed without tension. Check whether the door stops
properly and does not show any signs of warping before mounting.
Observe the tolerances for the voltage supply: The operating voltage measured on the lock at rated
current must lie within the specified tolerance limits. Damage and malfunctions will occur if the tolerance
limits are exceeded or not reached.
Check the lock after installation: The lock must operate consistently smoothly for all functions. The
bolt must move easily when closing. Irregular or sluggish bolt movement may indicate that the bolt was
mounted incorrectly or was twisted when installed.
Installation in a normal position for locks: Large leverage forces arise on doors, whereby the lock, door
frame and door leaf can be damaged when the installation position is incorrect. The lock must be installed
as far away from the door hinge as possible.
