Electrical connection

The electric swing bolt 842-SA1 is equipped with potential-free monitoring contacts. Used as a monitoring
contact (RR), a reed switch is switched by magnets in the locking counterpart and signals the door locking
status.
Used as an armature contact (AKRR), a relay switch reports the locking status of the swing bolt.
Warning!
Only connect the wiring when the power is shut off: There is a risk of electric shock when the power
supply is switched on. This can lead to death or serious injury.
At tention!
The voltage supply must match the operating voltage. The lock will be damaged or will not function if
an unsuitable voltage is applied ("Technical data", page 35).

Connecting the electric swing bolt 842-SA1

The electric swing bolt 842-SA1 is supplied with voltage by the control lines.
1
If necessary, connect the potential-free armature contact for electronic monitoring of the locking
status.
2
Connect the control cables (voltage supply) (Fig. 4, page 34).
 The swing bolt is now electrically connected and can be mounted.
