The Motorized Swing Bolt 842-SA1

The motorized swing bolt 842-SA1 (Fig. 1) is used to lock doors and is equipped with an electric motor drive.
The monitoring contact and the armature contact are designed as potential-free switching contacts.
The monitoring contact is switched magnetically when the door is closed.
The armature contact can be used to monitor the locking status.

Functions

The bolt of the swing bolt is swung outwards with high motor force and moves into the locking counter-
part. The V-shaped cut-out of the locking counterpart has the advantage that the door can also be locked
if the locking counterpart and swing bolt are not positioned precisely in relation to each other.

The motorized swing bolt 842-SA1 offers the following features

· Suitable for revolving and double acting swing doors
· Integrated monitoring contact
· Integrated armature contact
· Suitable for horizontal and vertical installation
· Simple changeover between
· fail-unlocked operation (unlocked when de-energised) and
· fail-locked operation (locked when de-energised, no unlocking option in the event of power failure!)
