Installation

Caution!
Risk of injury due to sharp edges and chips: There is a risk of injury due to sharp edges and chips from
drilling or other cutting work. Take particular care to protect your eyes with suitable protective goggles.
The work may only be performed by an appropriately qualified person.

Preparation for mounting

Caution!
Unsuitable doors impair personal protection and intrusion protection: Only approved and technically
correct doors are suitable for installation of the security lock 309. Prior to the installation of the security lock
309, the door must be checked to ensure that it is attached properly and is not warped. The door must be
approved for use of the security lock 309.
1 Create the lock pocket at a suitable vertical mounting position in the door leaf.
2 Finish the holes for the fixing screws corresponding to the figures shown below (depending on the
selected components).
3 Drill the holes for the lock fittings.
4 Clean the lock pocket and all holes by blowing them out or vacuuming.
9 The lock pocket is now ready for the further installation.

Security lock 309 installation

1 Screw the security lock 309 in place in the lock pocket.
2 Fasten the lock fittings.
3 Test the security lock 309 for ease of movement.
9 Once the striking plate is mounted, the security lock 309 is ready for use.
