Through this, the admin can sort how much access the individual user has on the device, depending on what user
access level they have been assigned.
Multiple user logins
The device will by default have one user, the Administrator. The Administrator account has no restrictions placed on
it and can set up other users on the device. When a new user is created, they are assigned a user-name, password,
user access level, full name, and signature role. Once a user is created, they can log into the device into the device
with their assigned level of access.
Archiving
The administrator can archive files. Found in the "Admin Functions" menu under "Manage Data," the admin can
choose to archive the results files or the audit trail. Both can be set up to be automatically offloaded via external USB
flash drive or via Ethernet automatically. A frequency for the automatic archive can be chosen from the following list:
daily, weekly, or monthly. The age of the files to archive can be set up using the "Archive files older than" option. In
addition to this, the desired file type of the archive can be selected from the following file formats: .csv, .xml, or .pdf.
Audit trail
The DVNext is designed with a built-in audit trail. The audit trail will log actions performed on the instrument, as well
as the user who was logged into the device while that action was performed. The DVNext allows for users to add
comments to audit trail items by selecting the event and choosing the "entry details" and "add comment" option.
When in putting a comment, the user is prompted to input their login credentials before the device will allow them to
apply their comment. Comments that are added to an event can be viewed in the entry details with the individual who
made the comment shown in the "Login" bar above it.
Uneditable PDF file format
All PDF files created by the Compliant Edition DVNext are unable to be edited in PDF editing software. This includes
the audit trail, archive, viscosity/yield data reports, and the viscosity/yield test reports.
