Setting the G-Controller Module Environment
Set the environment to start up the G-controller module utilizing monitor data
created using the GEDE and the AD57GPE.

Hardware settings
(a) Set the memory protect switch (SW4)
This setting is used to prevent damage to the memory contents of

the memory card (RAM type) to be installed in the interface of
MEMORY CARD 1 of the module.
Mitsubishi recommends protecting the monitor area when monitor
data is stored to a memory card.
(b) Set the set-up switch (SW5)
This setting is used to inform the G-controller whether a canvas ROM
is installed in a module, the name of the ROM type during installa-
tion, and whether a peripheral device has been connected to the
module.
If there is a setting error, normal operations cannot be executed.
Always set these switches properly.
(c) Install a canvas ROM
Install a canvas ROM when installing a ROM in a module and starting
up the module.

(d) Set the RUN/STOP keyswitch

This setting is used to inform the G-controller how monitoring will be
executed after starting up a module.
Set STOP when storing monitor data to the memory card immediately
after the module is started up.

(e) Set the memory protect switch
This setting is used to make the setting of (a) above valid/invalid .
In order for any switch in SW4 to be turned ON, this switch must be
ON.
(f) Set the memory card access switch
Turn this switch ON when installing a memory card and starting up

the module.
(g) Install a memory card

Install a memory card when starting up the module.

Installing the module
Install the G-controller module in the base unit of a PC CPU after
completing the hardware settings given above.
