5. MONITOR FUNCTIONS AND THEIR USE
MELSEC-A
5.3.1
Function that indicates the numerical value of a word device in units of one point (numerical
format display)
[Function]
This function is used to display in a fixed position a numerical value stored in
the buffer of the word device special-function module.
By using this monitoring function, 16-bit or 32-bit numerical value data can
be displayed in decimal, hexadecimal, or BIN (binary) in the following formats:
(a) Magnification/offset can be calculated.
(b) Display format is determined by setting a displayed number column
and a decimal point position .
Since the PC CPU is used for monitoring and displaying, monitoring
can be done without calculating numerical value data.
Example:
When the planned numbers, actual numbers, and the
achievement rate stored to DO to D2 are displayed
Achievement rate values are displayed to the second
digit after the decimal point.

The following explains the setting that must be done to enable the function
by which a numerical value stored in the word device and the buffer of a
special-function module is monitored.
