5. MONITOR FUNCTIONS AND THEIR USE

5.5.1
Displaying a trend graph
This function displays the trend graph of a numeric value
stored in the word device or the buffer of a special-function module.
The trend graph display function can be applied in four different ways as
shown below:
(1) Scroll type (screen display)
Data is collected and displayed using this graph only when the monitor
screen for this type of graph has been set.

(2) Scroll type (file storage)
After the G-controller starts monitoring, data (up to 500 items of new
data) is collected and stored to a file at specified intervals.
When the monitor screen in which this type of trend graph display is set
appears, the graph is displayed using data which is either stored or being
stored.
Data stored in a file can be redisplayed in a system-dedicated window
and printed out along with the collection date. (see Section 10.6)
