4 Getting started

4.4 Switching off the unit

On initial startup
1. The contra-angle handpiece and accessories must be sterilized
before each treatment. [→ 44]
2. Select the appropriate power supply adapter for your country and
attach it to the power supply part.
3. Plug the unit cable connector into the socket (C).
4. Connect the unit to the power supply.
IMPORTANT
The battery is in protection mode and must be charged to activate it
prior to initial use.
5. Press the on/off switch (A).
Ä A window with a prompt appears.
6. Select your preferred language.
7. Select your region in the next step.
Ä Information on language and region will be stored. It can be
changed under "General Settings".
8. Perform an initial calibration of your unit with your handpiece.
9. Attach the handpiece sleeve to the handpiece. [→ 45]
10. Attach the contra-angle handpiece to the handpiece.
11. Insert the file. [→ 47]
12. Assemble the apex locator set [→ 56] and connect it to the socket
(B).
13. Perform a calibration. [→ 53]
In daily routine
ü The unit is connected to the power supply or the battery is
sufficiently charged.
ü Contra-angle handpiece and accessories are sterilized and ready.

1. Press the ON button (A).
2. Attach the handpiece sleeve to the handpiece. [→ 45]
3. Attach the contra-angle handpiece to the handpiece.
4. Insert the file. [→ 47]
5. Assemble the apex locator set [→ 56] and connect it to the socket
(B).
6. Perform a calibration. [→ 53]
4.4 Switching off the unit
1. Press the ON/OFF button.
Ä A window opens.
2. Confirm shut down of the unit.
