Contact your service technician if one of the following error messages
appears on your unit:
● MO_001: Serious motor error
● AP_001: Serious apex error
● MC_001: Serious media controller error

11.2.1

For error messages related to insulation test

For error messages related to insulation test
If a dialog with a combined mode is selected (with apex function), the
endodontic unit automatically conducts an internal function test. If the
apex insulation in the contra-angle handpiece is faulty, the left symbol
appears.
The outer surface of the handpiece is electrically insulated from the
apex path of the motor file. After sterilization, liquid may accumulate in
the handpiece and bridge the insulation. This results in the apex values
being incorrectly displayed when the contra-angle handpiece comes in
contact with the patient in the oral cavity.
The following steps can remedy this potential source of interference:
1. Remove the contra-angle handpiece from the handpiece.
2. Remove the file from the contra-angle handpiece.
3. Press compressed air into the file opening with a Sprayvit (or a
spray air jet on the treatment center) 3 times for 3 seconds each.
If the yellow symbol is still displayed, put a silicone sleeve on the
contra-angle handpiece, for more information, see "Fitting and removing
an insulation sleeve [→ 72]".
