2.3 CLEANING (Fig.8)

Strict observance of the maintenance rules in this section guarantees good preservation and satisfactory
machine operation and greatly reduces the need for repairs.
EN
In the event of irregularities or failure of any component of the machine, FIRST OF ALL, CHECK that
the instructions given in the previous paragraphs have been followed when using it. Interventions must
be carried out promptly at the first appearance of anomalies in order to avoid aggravating the problem and
damaging other parts.
Daily operations to be carried out when the work is completed, with the machine OFF, the main switch
disconnected, the water supply valve closed and the wash tank empty.
Clean the inside of the machine thoroughly.
With the tank empty, remove the filters (15/16) and clean them thoroughly;
Check and if necessary clean the manifolds (20/21)and the washing and rinsing nozzles (17/18) by removing
them from their seat. Thoroughly wash the tank with a jet of water:
Place the overflow (14) and the filters (15/16) in their seats.

2.4 MAINTENANCE

Preventive maintenance operations must be carried out with the machine OFF (BUTTON S1
OFF), the main switch off or using the "Q1" switch, the water supply valves closed and the
tanks empty.
ATTENTION: do not disconnect the switch with the machine on!
2.4.a Check and clean the wash and rinse arms
Periodically check and clean the washing and rinsing nozzles (17/18 Fig.8). The frequency of this operation will
be suggested by the quantity of residues and deposits or by possible unsatisfactory washing results.
To clean the inside and outside of the machine, do not use corrosive products such as sodium hypochlorite
(bleach) and hydrochloric acid (muriatic acid), acids in general, steel sponges and steel brushes.
In order to avoid compromising the correct functioning and to maintain the equipment in optimal hygienic
conditions, the periodic sanitising and descaling operations listed below are recommended.
The operating procedures and the frequency of these operations are recommended by the detergent supplier,
who has suitable products and equipment.
In order to avoid damaging the machine and to protect the environment, do not exceed the dosages and once
the operations have been completed, rinse thoroughly.
2.4.b Descaling
In the presence of hard water, limestone deposits form inside the machine and on the dishes which, for hygienic
and operational purposes, must be removed by descaling.
The procedures and their frequency are usually recommended by the supplier of the detergent, who has
appropriate products.
To avoid damaging the machine, do not overdo it with the doses, and strictly abide by the instructions of the
detergent manufacturer. When the operations are completed, rinse with plenty of water.
2.4.c Sanitisation
It is essential to clean the machine thoroughly at least once a week. A specific detergent-disinfectant is
recommended for this operation.
Use of the above mentioned product essentially gives the following advantages:
it guarantees hygiene as it consists of both cleansing and disinfectant active ingredients;
it keeps the machine in perfect hygienic conditions even when it is not used.
At the end of the operation, rinse the machine by letting it run empty for a few minutes.
26
It is prohibited to spray water on the appliance to clean it.
