Airbag overview

Airbag is an integral part of passive
safety system which cannot replace
seat belt. All occupants in the vehicle must
wear seat belt when driving.
Under the influence of the collision's
position, angle, degree and property of
object collided, airbags
deployed in all accidents. The airbag is
deployed with great force, so the driver and
the front occupant should adjust the seat to
have a sufficient safety distance from the
front airbag, wear the seat belt correctly and
keep the correct sitting posture to avoid
serious casualties.
Ensure there is no barrier blocking the
space for airbags to deploy. Do not
put any object between the occupant and
the airbag. If any barriers are between
occupants and airbags, the airbags may be
unable to be inflated normally, or the barrier
may be squeezed into human body when
the airbags are deployed, resulting in severe
casualties.
After the airbag is deployed, do not touch it
to avoid scalding.
When the airbag is deployed, some gas and
dust will be released, which may irritate the
skin and eyes. Please go to hospital for
treatment if you feel uncomfortable.
Do not maintain, repair or replace any
part of the airbag system without
authorization. Otherwise, the system may
not work normally,

The airbag system can only be used once. If
the airbag has been deployed, it needs to be
replaced at the Geely Service immediately.
Due to the considerable speed and
strength of airbag deployment, do not
seat infants and children or hold them on the
front seat with airbag to avoid serious
casualties.

Positions of airbags

Frontal airbag
In case of a frontal collision, the frontal
airbag can effectively protect the driver and
occupant from the frontal impact injury.
When the vehicle suffers from moderate to
severe front impact or nearly front impact
which reaches the triggering condition of the
system, the airbag will be inflated with gas
so as to buffer the forward charging speed
of driver and front occupant, and prevent the
driver and front occupant from hitting on the
steering wheel and dashboard directly.
One airbag is mounted in the center of
steering wheel and the other in the
instrument panel above the glove box,
respectively, marked with "AIRBAG".
