Drive motor
controller overheating
Overheating of the vehicle actually means
that the coolant temperature is too high. If
the motor and controller
warning lights on
instrument are lit, it means that the drive
motor is overheating.
procedures should be followed:
1.
Drive the vehicle safely away from the
road to a safe place, then stop the
vehicle and turn on the hazard warning
lamp, set the reducer to the parking
gear (P), and press the EPB switch.
Turn off the air conditioner if it is
working.
2.
Visually inspect the radiator, hoses, and
underside of the vehicle for obvious
coolant leaks. If there is, it is normal that
there are water drops coming from the
working air conditioner.
3.
If the coolant leaks, stop using the
vehicle immediately, and contact Geely
Service for maintenance as soon as
possible.
4.
If there is no obvious water leakage,
check the coolant expansion tank. If it is
dry, add about half of the coolant to the
coolant expansion

5.
If there is no coolant leakage and the
coolant level in the expansion tank is
normal, please contact Geely Service
for maintenance as soon as possible.
6. After the coolant temperature drops to
normal, check the coolant level in the
coolant expansion tank again. Fill to the

safety, contact Geely Service and carry out
the following operations under the guidance
of professionals:

If the power battery harness smokes
and catches fire, use a carbon dioxide
or dry powder extinguisher to spray.
2.
If the power battery catches fire, use a
high-pressure water gun to extinguish
the fire at a distance.
3.
If you inhale thick smoke accidentally,
please see a doctor as soon as
possible.
