A composite monitoring output with built-in caption decoder is provided.
This is an economical method of verifying the correct insertion of the
captioning data. This is described in more detail in section 5.4.3. Refer to
section 3.2.4 for instructions on configuring the caption decoder from the
front panel.
The front panel is used to configure various items through two menu
structures, the Setup menu and the Engineering menu. (See section 3.2
and 3.3 for a complete description of the menus). The front panel also
provides helpful diagnostic information at a glance, using the alphanumeric
display and indicator LEDs.
CAUTION – These servicing instructions are for use by qualified service
personnel only. To reduce risk of electric shock do not perform any
servicing instructions in this section of the manual unless you are
qualified to do so.
