ENGINE MECHANICAL - Cylinder Head
(dl Using a screwdrive r, install the tension spring.
CAUTION:
• Do not pinch the tension sp rin g with pliers or such.
• Loosen t he idler pulley bol t to where the idler pulley
lig ht ly moves wit h tension spr ing force.
(el Tum the crankshaft pulley two revo lution s and align
its groove with the pointer on the oil pump. Always
turn the crankshaft pulley clockwise.
(fl Check that the line mark of the timing pulley is
aligned with the top end of the cylinder head.
If the mark are not aligned. repeat the procedure above
from (al.
lg) Torque the No. 1 idler pulley bolt
Torque: 375 kg-cm (27 ft-lb, 37 N ·ml
6. INSTALL NO. 2 TIMING BELT COVER WITH
GASKET
7. INSTALL OIL LEVEL GAUGE GUIDE CLAMP WIT H
BOtT TO INTAKE MANIFOLD
8 . INST ALL GLOW PLUGS
(al Install and torque the four glow plugs .
Torque: 130 kg-cm (9 ft-lb . 13 N ·ml
(b) Install the glow plug connector and current sensor
plate with four nuts.
(cl Install four grommets on the glow plugs.
9. INSTALL GLOW PLUG CURRENT SENSOR TO
INTAKE MANIFOLD
