Prepare the Library for Replacing a Drive

Note:
This procedure is only necessary if you are replacing a drive. If you
are adding a drive, go to Prepare the Library for Adding a Drive on
page 8.
Use your host software or the library graphical user interface (GUI) to determine

if a tape is in the drive that will be replaced.
If a tape is in the drive, move that tape to an empty tape slot.

Go to Prepare the Library and Host System on page 11.
