Remove the Drive Sled from the Library

Note:

Each SCSI ID connector on the library circuit board is labeled with its

drive number, for example DRV 1. The drive numbers marked on the

circuit board correspond to the drive numbers displayed on the

Spectra 10000 screen and the drive locations marked on the top of the

carousel.

Use the #2 Phillips screwdriver to loosen the two mounting screws holding the

drive sled to the library chassis (Figure 10).

Note:

The screws are captive and cannot be completely removed from the

drive sled. Be sure to loosen them enough so they completely

disengage from the library chassis.

Grip the drive and the drive sled and move the assembly toward the rear of the

library, about one-half inch.

Lift the drive and drive sled assembly out of the library.
