Performance Test 2: Check the SCSI IDs
On the Main screen, one drive box should be highlighted for each installed drive.

Figure 18 shows Drives 1 through 4 installed and all drive boxes are highlighted.
From the Main screen, press the Spectra 10000 button (Figure 18).

When the Spectra 10000 screen appears, examine the SCSI ID list. Refer to page

6 and check that the original SCSI ID configuration has not changed.
If the configuration has changed, turn the library off and set the switches to their

original positions, then repeat Performance Test 1: Power Up.
Caution:
Exercise care when configuring SCSI IDs. A SCSI ID conflict on the
bus can cause a computer system to crash.
If you are replacing a drive, and the configuration has not changed, go to
5.
Performance Test 3: Verify Drives on page 24.
If you are installing a new drive in a previously unoccupied location, you must

select a unique SCSI ID for the drive. Refer to the Spectra 10000 User Guide for
further discussion on setting the SCSI IDs in the Spectra 10000 library.
In a library configured with a Fibre Channel interface, the device SCSI IDs are
hard-coded and cannot be changed.
Touch anywhere on the Spectra 10000 screen to return to the Main screen.
