Mount the Drive in the Library

The bottom side of the drive sled mounts to the library chassis. A tongue and two guide
pins protrude from the bottom of the sled.
On the baseplate in the library are two keyed holes for the guide pins and a large slot
for the tongue. The tongue slot is closest to the carousel (Figure 12). The drive sled can
only be installed one way.
Go to the drive location where you are installing the drive.

You will have either removed a drive from this location or removed a
tape cartridge backstop from this location.
Place the drive sled on the library chassis with the guide pins in the guide holes

and the tongue in the large slot. The drive sled should be sitting flat on the
library chassis and should not rock from side to side or front to back.
Firmly grip the drive sled and slide the assembly forward about one-half inch,

until it will go no further. Ensure drive sled is still flat on the baseplate.
Use the #2 Phillips screwdriver to tighten the two mounting screws on the drive

sled to secure the drive sled to the chassis. Two arrows in Figure 12 point to the
mounting screws.
