Chapter 1A
DASHBOARD
Underspeed chime
If an overspeed warning appeared and the vehicle's speed drops
below the set value, underspeed provides a chime to indicate
this. Underspeed can be switched on and off in the Customisation
menu.
Refer to Customisation menu further on in this chapter.
Digital speedometer
When the digital speedometer is enabled in the Customisation
menu, the vehicle's speed is also displayed numerically on the
instrument panel's centre display.
Refer to Customisation menu further on in this chapter.
Trip computer notes
If the wrong buttons are accidentally pressed, causing the display to show anything
other than normal, switch the ignition off then on again (only when the vehicle is
stationary).
Several warning lamps are linked to the instrument panel display window. Refer to
Warning/reminder indications previously in this chapter.
When the overspeed warning symbol is first shown, the overspeed trip computer
display is automatically shown for 10 seconds. This indicates the preselected
speed and allows you to adjust it if required. After 10 seconds, the trip computer
returns to its previous display.
Some displays change the units of measurement over time. For example, if the
time to arrival is above 99 hours and 59 minutes, only hours will be shown. Time
to arrival also shows 10 minute units above 2 hours, 5 minute units below 2 hours
and 1 minute units below 10 minutes.
The personal identity key
If the vehicle is fitted with this system, the trip computer stores the last selected
settings. When the button on the key is pressed, the last set of displays and
overspeed settings will be recalled. Refer to Personal identity keys in chapter 2.
TRIP ComPuTER cont.
