CHILd RESTRAInTS
WARNINg – EXTREME HAZARD
Do not use a rearward facing child
restraint on a seat protected by an
airbag in front of it.
The child could be seriously injured if
the airbag inflates, as the child's head
would be very close to the inflating
airbag.
WARNINg
Always ensure that the seatbelt fits firmly around the child restraint.
If a child cannot see out of the window, do not raise him/her by means of an ordinary
cushion. It will not stay in place in a collision and the child can slip out of the straps
and become entangled.
When travelling in a vehicle, children must be restrained in an appropriate child restraint
at all times. The following are guidelines about selecting the appropriate restraint for
your child.
WARNINg
Always follow the child restraint manufacturer's fitting instructions when installing a
child restraint into the vehicle.
Young children
Forward facing child seats are for use
when the child is able to sit and easily
hold his or her head upright.
