EMERGENCIES
LoW CooLAnT LEVEL
If the level is too low, proceed as follows:
WARNINg
Do not remove the radiator cap if the engine and radiator are still hot. Scalding fluid
and steam can be blown out under pressure which could cause serious burns.
When the engine has cooled sufficiently, check the coolant reservoir level and radiator
level and fill as follows.
1. Check the coolant reservoir level
correct concentration. Refer to Under bonnet checks in chapter 7.

2. Locate the radiator cap
engine bay (V8 engines).
3. Cover the cap with a thick cloth and turn it slowly anticlockwise until it can be
removed.
