Chapter 2
LOCKS
Locking from the inside
Press the side of the switch with the
e
symbol on the centre console to lock all
doors. This will not arm the alarm.
If locking has not worked
Note The horn chirps rapidly five times if
any door is open while the e button on the
key is pressed.
unLoCkIng
Doors are unlocked when the lock snib is
showing red. If the snib is flush with the
door handle, the door is locked. Refer to
Door lock snibs further on in this chapter.
Note The Auto unlock feature can
be
selected.
It
automatically when the ignition is switched
off. On vehicles fitted with an automatic
transmission, Auto unlock can also be
selected when the transmission selector is
moved to position P (park). You can also
choose whether the driver's door only or all
doors will be unlocked. Select the feature
from the instrument panel Customisation
menu. Refer to Customisation menu in
chapter 1A.
Remote unlocking
Press the c button to unlock the vehicle, to disarm the alarm and to switch on the
interior lamp for a short time or until the ignition is switched on. The interior lamp will
only come on if the switch is set to the U position. Refer to Interior (dome) lamps in
chapter 3.
From the Two stage unlock feature in the Customisation menu select how the remote
unlocking works:
Press the c button once to unlock the driver's door only.
Then press the c button a second time to unlock all passenger doors.
or
Press the c button once to unlock all doors.
Select Flash remote unlock from the Customisation menu to briefly flash the vehicle's
turn signals once when the signal is received. Refer to Customisation menu in
chapter 1A.
