The following messages are possible depending upon the model and what has
activated the alarm:
by Bonnet – if the bonnet has been opened.
by Passenger door – if the passenger door has been opened.
by Driver's door – if the driver's door has been opened.
Notes about the alarm
e
The
button on the key will not lock an open door. The open door will remain
unlocked and the horn will chirp five times.
e
Pressing the
button on the key once:
– Locks both doors.
– Locks the hard tonneau cover
– Arms the alarm (after a short delay).
– Switches the interior dome lamp off (if the switch is set to door position).
– Flashes the exterior turn signals (if selected in the Customisation menu).
– Deactivates the power windows (after a predetermined period of time).

Pressing the
button on the key a second time:
– Chirps the horn (if selected in the Customisation menu) and arms the alarm
immediately, bypassing the 30 second delay period.

Pressing the
button on the key once:
– Unlocks either the driver's door only or both doors (depending on your setting
in the Customisation menu).
– Unlocks the hard tonneau cover
– Disarms the alarm.
– Switches on the interior dome lamp (if the switch is set to the U position) and
power windows for a short time.
– Flashes the exterior turn signals (if selected in the Customisation menu).
– Switches on the approach lighting for a predetermined time. Refer to Lights in
chapter 1A.

Pressing the
button a second time:
– Unlocks the passenger's door (if pressing the first time, unlocked the driver's
door only).
– Flashes the exterior turn signals (if selected in the Customisation menu).
– Reactivates the approach lighting again.
