5.5. Mounting the Product

5.5.1. Mounting the Battery

a. Remove the battery from the carton and transport it to the installation site with a
trolly or other manual handling aid capable of safely moving the product weight. Se-
cure the Product during any movement or transport.
b. Place the battery against the wall in the required final position. The Battery should
be level (check with Spirit Level) before marking the holes in the wall. Where the
ground requires levelling beneath the battery, or where the battery is to be mounted
on a sub-surface designed to provide level mounting, the levelling surface should be
secure and solid (if using a cement pad) prior to locating the battery and marking the
wall for the mounting positions.
c. Fix the wall-securing bracket onto the top of the battery module using the 3 x M5*10
screws provided;
d. Select a set of symmetrical Obround/Oval-shaped holes for securing to the wall –
mark these holes on the wall and remove the battery module (removing the Battery
rather than simply removing the Bracket avoids dust accumulating on the battery and
avoids the possibility of damage to the battery during the drilling process)；
e. Drill at least 2 holes on the wall with a diameter of 10mm and a depth of about 70mm.
