    A single cartridge can be inserted directly into an empty tape drive via a password-protected mailslot or into an empty magazine slot. The Quantum A-Series Tape Drives are an extension to the family of products with video professionals in mind. Using the built-in FTP client in conjunction with a standard Web browser, Material Exchange Format (MXF) files can be stored and retrieved.

    To get the full performance of the SuperLoader 3A Series autoloader, it is advisable to use a GigE network. The autoloader connects to your host server (see Gigabit Ethernet (GigE) interface (A-Series tape drive Ethernet port), allowing the host to send data and commands automatically.
