Application Interfaces

4.1. (U)SIM Interface

BG95xA-GL module supports 1.8 V (U)SIM card only. The circuitry of (U)SIM interfaces meet ETSI and
IMT-2000 requirements.
BG953A-GL supports integrated iSIM. After enabling this function, you do not need to design the (U)SIM
interface, which helps to improve the security of the device and reduce the PCB area. For more details
about iSIM function, please contact with local network service providers.

BG95xA-GL module supports (U)SIM card hot-plug via USIM_DET, and both high-level and low-level
detections are supported. The function is disabled by default. See AT+QSIMDET in document [3] for
more details.
The following figure illustrates a reference design of (U)SIM interface with an 8-pin (U)SIM card
connector.
