Attention:
Switch off ignition.
Disconnect earth (ground) lead from battery.
Insulate earth (ground) lead.
•
Attach stand, BMW No. 00 1 520, to motorcycle.
•
Remove fuel tank.
•
Remove front wheel.
•
Remove holder for speedometer drive from mud-
guard.
•
Disengage ABS sensor from slider tube.
•
Remove holders for right and left brake lines from
the slider tubes.

Note:
Using straps, suspend the brake lines from the as-
sembly crane, BMW No. 46 5 640.
•
Remove the bracket for the brake lines from the
frame.
•
Disconnect the horn and remove it complete with
the bracket.
•
Release the cable ties at the frame.
•
Release the fasteners securing the fixed tubes in
the fork bridge.
