Possible Causes
Air in system
Resistivity cell not connected
to meter board connection (P1).
Resistivity cell dirty.
Resistivity cell out of toler-
ance.
UV lamp cable not plugged
into J6 of daughter board.
UV lamp burnt out or nearing
the end of its useful life.
Chamber seal is compromised
and UV lamp is getting wet.
UV lamp not properly connect-
ed to UV cable connector.
UV ballast out of tolerance.
Resistivity cell not connected
to meter board (PCX70).
Resistivity cell dirty.
Resistivity cell temperature
sensor out of tolerance.
Meter board out of tolerance.
PC board communication trou-
ble.
Meter board not connected to
display/control board.
Meter board out of tolerance.
Action
Purge air from system by
drawing off water according to
instructions in Operation sec-
tion.
Check resistivity cell lead
connections (P1) on circuit
board (see Wiring Diagram).
Clean cell and reinstall.
Replace resistivity cell.
Plug UV lamp cable into J6 of
daughter board (see Wiring
Diagram).
Replace UV lamp.
Replace quartz sleeve and o-
rings. Call Technical Services.
Recheck/reconnect.
Replace ballast. Call Technical
Services.
Check resistivity cell lead con-
nection (P1) on meter board
(see Wiring Diagram).
Clean cell and reinstall.
Replace resistivity cell.
Replace meter board. Call
Technical Services.
Cycle power.
Check connection from meter
board (10 pin connector) to dis-
play/control board (J2).
Replace meter board. Call
Technical Services.
