Possible Causes (cont.)
Possible feedwater contamination.
Cartridges not properly rinsed up before use.
EASYpure RODI contaminated with bacteria.
Cartridges being used are beyond expiration
date.
Change in feedwater characteristics.
Increased product water usage.
RO membrane needs replacing.
Loose connections.
Tubing is not inserted completely.
Missing or defective cartridge o-rings.
Leak at cartridge.
Not installed far enough.
Air in cartridge vibrating cartridge check valve.
Action (cont.)
Check that the service life of the RO mem-
brane or RO carbon filter has not been
exceeded. If not exceeded, call Technical
Services for possible feedwater testing.
Rinse up cartridges as described in
Cartridge Rinse-Up Procedures. Replace
the 0.2 micron final filter assembly as indi-
cated in 0.2 Micron Final Filter
Replacement.
Clean EASYpure RODI according to the
instructions in System Cleaning. Replace
the 0.2 micron final filter assembly as indi-
cated in 0.2 Micron Final Filter
Replacement.
Check the expiration date. Cartridges begin
to lose capacity after being stored two years
from the date of manufacture. Replace the
cartridges with unexpired ones.
Call Technical Services for possible feedwa-
ter testing.
Verify usage.
Replace as described in Membrane
Installation.
Tighten connections.
Insert tubing completely. See Push-to-
Connect Tubing Installation.
Install or replace cartridge o-rings.
Make sure cartridge access door is closed
and latched.
Install or screw in further and/or add Teflon
tape.
No action needed. Chatter will diminish and
stop once air is completely purged from sys-
tem during normal operation.
