On the System Management Console, the MAS servers are added as
Monitored Elements with a name and IP address. Under the Media
Services tab, the provisioned MAS servers are associated with a Fault and
Performance Manager (FPM). The FPM address must match the address
configured on the MAS Console.
The MAS notifies the FPM when logs are generated or when alarms are
raised or cleared. When the FPM starts, it queries the MAS to find the
alarm status. If configured, the FPM can periodically request the MAS
alarm status.
When a MAS server boots, all alarms are cleared. The FPM synchronizes
its view with the MAS.

Logs

All the logs that were previously displayed on the MAS Management
Console are available through the MCS System Management Console. No
logs have been added as part of this feature.

MCP granular service packaging

This feature controls the availability of Instant Messaging and Web
Collaboration. Use of these services can be restricted on a user, group or
domain basis. The ability to associate an IP Phone to the Multimedia PC
Client can be disabled.
