Chairperson

The chairperson uses *9 to start the audio recording and then *9 to stop
the recording. As well, the recording stops when the meeting ends. When
the audio recording starts, an announcement is made to all participants in
the meeting, as well as to anyone dialing into the meeting later. Making an
audio recording does not interfere with the conference.
When the recording is complete, it is broken up into 30-minute segments
and sent to the chairperson, as e-mail attachments (one segment per
e-mail). Each time the recording stops, the e-mail messages are sent
to the chairperson. If the chairperson's e-mail system cannot receive the
messages, the MAS retries sending the messages. After three attempts,
the MAS abandons the e-mail and the recording is lost. The MAS does not
store the recorded audio segments.
The chairperson uses the Personal Agent Preference screens to configure
the e-mail address for the audio recording of a Meet Me Conference. If the
e-mail address is incorrect or the e-mail server is down, no e-mail is sent.
The Preference screens enable the chairperson to configure Fast Start,
which enables the meeting to start before the chairperson arrives.
The chairperson is able to immediately stop the conference by dialing 11. A
confirmation prompt is played to ensure that the stop request is intentional.
Once confirmed, a message is played to all members of the conference and
the members are dropped.
When the chairperson dials 00, a conference operator joins the meeting as
a participant of the meeting. The chairperson remains in the meeting.

Participant

If the chairperson is not present during a meeting, a participant can assume
the chairperson role. The participant dials *0 and is prompted for the
chairperson PIN. After PIN validation, the user is given chairperson control.
A meeting can have only one chairperson. IM and audio recording e-mail
are sent to the configured meeting chairperson, and not to the participant
who assumed chairperson control.
When a participant dials 00, the participant is transferred to the conference
operator, leaving the conference.
Installation and configuration
The conference operator functionality is installed as part of the Meet Me
Conference service.
