Private/public name and number display

This feature is based on the Centrex concept of private and public name
and number display. The Private/public name and number display feature
provides caller information according to a set of rules, including termination
location. For information about interaction with other features, see Feature
Description Guide (NN42020-125).

Private calling name and number

The administrator assigns the private calling name and number for each
subscriber during provisioning. The subscriber's name is a mandatory
provisioning field. The subscriber's first and last names create the private
name. A subscriber has only one private name.
The private calling number is an optional provisioning field, which is also
referred to as the Private Charge ID. The system uses this field for calling
line number display and in some cases, for billing purposes. A subscriber
has only one private number.

Public calling name and number

The administrator assigns the public calling name and number to domains
and subdomains. The public calling name and number are available to
subscribers within these domains and subdomains. Based on the call
scenario, MCS selects the domain public name and number on behalf of the
calling party. If a domain tree hierarchy is present, a sub-domain uses the
public name and number of the parent domain, subject to the following rules:
