ELECTRIC STARTER
Remove the following from the rear cover:

nut
-
washer
-
insulators
-
O-ring
-
brush holder
Remove the brushes from the brush holder.
Inspect the brushes for damage and measure the
brush length.
SERVICE LIMIT: 6.5 mm (0.26 in)

Inspect the commutator bars of the armature for
or sand paper on
discoloration.

These should be continuity.
