Defining SNMP Users

The SNMP Users Page provides information for creating SNMP groups and assigning SNMP access control privileges to SNMP groups. Groups
allow network managers to assign access rights to specific device features or feature aspects. To define an SNMP group:

Click Advanced > SNMP > Users. The SNMP Users Page opens:
The SNMP Users Page contains the following fields:
ID – Displays the table entry number.
User Name — Contains a list of user-defined user names. The field range is up to 30 alphanumeric characters.
Group Name — Contains a list of user-defined SNMP groups. SNMP groups are defined in the SNMP Group Profile Page.
Engine ID — Displays either the local or remote SNMP entity to which the user is connected. Changing or removing the local SNMP Engine
ID deletes the SNMPv3 user database.
Local — Indicates that the user is connected to a local SNMP entity.
