Non-volatile storage (NVS) can retain data indefinitely without loss
of data integrity. An optional Energy Pack powers the CPU long
enough to write its user memory contents to non-volatile storage
during a system power loss.
Note: To use the Energy Pack with the RXi Controller, you will
need controller firmware version 7.75 or later.
