Replacing the Loader Stepper Assembly

Tools Required

• Cassette Loader Kit
• Long-shaft 2.5 mm Allen wrench
• 2.5 mm x 100 mm cable ties
• Wire cutters
• Tape

Removing the Loader Stepper Assembly

[1] Disconnect the scanner from the main power.
[2] Remove the scanner cover. (See
[3] Remove the roof assembly and the tray assembly. (See
Removing the Tray Assembly on Page
[4] Disconnect the stepper motor cable CB057022.
[5] Disconnect sensor CB057040 from J508 on the connector panel.
[6] Remove the 4 screws that attach the loader stepper assembly to the loader frame using the 2.5 mm Allen
wrench.
Caution
Be sure to remove the cables carefully.
[7] Pull the loader stepper assembly towards the front of the unit and carefully remove it from the unit.

Installing the Loader Stepper Assembly

[1] Pass the stepper motor cables under the drum.
[2] Install the two Allen screws in the back.
[3] Install the loader stepper assembly into the motor frame.
[4] Insert but do not tighten the front two 2.5 mm screws.
[5] Connect the sensor cable to the sensor board and the motion cable to the motion board and fasten the cable ties.
[6] Adjust the loader pusher position. (See
[7] Before replacing the scanner cover:
(a) Go to Setup>Diagnostic>Motion.
(b) Operate the rollers forward and backward (Load/unload).
(c) Load a cassette into the scanner and check that the scanner loads and unloads the cassette correctly.
