Usage guidelines
You can perform this operation only after you log in to the FTP server.
FTP transfers files in either of the following modes:
•
Binary mode—Transfers program file or pictures.
•
ASCII mode—Transfers text files.
When the device acts as the FTP server, the transfer mode is determined by the FTP client. When
the device acts as the FTP client, you can set the transfer mode. The default transfer mode is binary.

# Set the file transfer mode to binary.
ftp> binary
200 TYPE is now 8-bit binary

Use to terminate the connection to the FTP server and return to user view. If no connection is
