Launch unit
The launch unit contains a fibre-coupled diode laser, which produces a stable
Class 2 output laser beam.
The output is directed into a pentaprism mounted in the rotatable head which
provides a beam that can be switched between two orientations.
The two beams exit the head perpendicularly and can be used as the
reference for a variety of measurements.
