6 - MAINTENANCE
Replacing the belt
If the belt breaks, the message "Alternator" is displayed
on the message screens. Shut down the engine, remove
the ignition key and change the belt.
Remove the retaining screws (1) and (2). Use the adjust-
ment screw (3) to push the alternator inward.
Remove the worn belt.
Install a new belt.
Adjust the belt using the screw (3).
Retighten the retaining screws (1) and (2).
Run the engine for about an hour and then check the belt
tension again.
