EDS file
A file that contains I/O data for an EtherNet/IP device and parameters that
can be set via EtherNet/IP.

DeviceNet
A DeviceNet Master controls DeviceNet communications.
Master / Slave
A DeviceNet Slave receives output data that is sent from a DeviceNet
Master, and sends input data to the DeviceNet Master.
At least one DeviceNet Master is required for a DeviceNet system.
remote I/O
A function that constantly transfers I/O data between a DeviceNet Master
communications
and DeviceNet Slaves. The users can use I/O data of DeviceNet Slaves
without programming for sending and receiving data.
node address
A node address is an address to identify a device connected to DeviceNet.
With DeviceNet, a MAC (Media Access Control) ID is used as a node
(MAC ID)
address. A node address is thus called a MAC ID.
EDS file
A file that contains I/O data of a DeviceNet Slave and parameters that can
be set via DeviceNet.
