This section shows how to remedy simple problems encountered during use.

Problems in Display

Problem
No power.
The power turns off
suddenly during use.
The waveform is not
normal.

Problems in ECG Measurement

Problem
The message "LEAD
FAULT" is displayed.
The ECG waveform is not
displayed.
Severe noise on the
waveform.

1. Check if the main switch at the back of the monitor is
on.
2. Check if AC power is supplied.
3. Press power button for 2 seconds.
1. Verify that AC power is being supplied to the monitor.
2. If in battery mode, verify that a charged battery is
correctly connected.
1. Check if there is any equipment with a strong
magnetism around the monitor.
2. Check if the cable connection is stable.
3. Check if the monitor is grounded.
1. Verify good working condition of the ECG cable and
proper placement on the patient.
2. Replace the ECG cable.
1. Check if the cable connection is stable.
2. Check if the ECG cable is damaged.
1. Verify that the electrode attached to the patient is
stable.
2. Verify the ECG cable is the type recommended by
Vetland Medical with proper shielding.
3. Verify the unit is not positioned near an
electrosurgical or another device emitting
electromagnetic interference.
