29. ST Analysis

The ST level is measured by horizontal comparison between the PR-segment and the ST-segment. The
user can choose from J point to 8 kinds of ST-measurement point (80, 70, 60, 50, 40, 30, 20, 0 ms).
These measured values occur only in a normal heart rate. An abnormal heart rate (premature ventricular
contraction or ventricular tachycardia, for example) or the presence of a pacemaker may cause distortion
of the ST waveform.
Although studied widely in human medicine, arrhythmia measurements have not been validated in
veterinary medicine and are offered only as an ancillary tool.
NOTE
The V1410 / V1412 is designed to independently display the ST level for each lead view.
NOTE
The ST level analysis should be judged by qualified veterinary professionals. Arrhythmia
measurements have not been validated in veterinary medicine and are offered only as an
WARNING
ancillary tool.
