RECOMMENDED SERVICE PLAN – 5280D.1-M
5280D - MINERAL OIL
IMPORTANT - DAILY & BEFORE STARTING
CHECK OIL LEVEL TOP UP AS NECESSARY.
Check and clean separator strainers & drain lines.
Check belt drive for alignment and tension. Adjust as necessary.
Check for oil & air leaks.
Check tightness of all fasteners.
Check for leaks & operation of D.D.V's.
Check condition of all ancillaries.

Check piston stand-out on 1
Renew rider rings if stand-out is below permitted level.
Check condition of anti-vibration mounts. Adjust as required.
Check security of piston rod /crosshead nuts.
Check security of crankshaft balance weight bolts.
Inspect crossheads and guides for scoring.
Check crankcase internal oil pipe for security.
Check safety valves setting.
Check internal cleanliness of drive motor.
Check starter contacts for arcing and pitting.
Check inter-stage cooler tubes for internal fouling or blockage.
Check operation of safety devices ,high temp, high pressure, water flow switch's etc.
Check water jacket internally for build up of scale and corrosion.

Check 1 & 2 stage oil scraper glands. Renew if oil leakage excessive.

Check 1 stage air seal glands. Renew if leakage excessive.
Check piston rods for excessive or uneven wear.
Measure cylinder bores. Replace if wear is excessive or uneven.
Inspect all suction and delivery valves for wear. Replace as necessary.
Inspect crankshaft. Replace if necessary.
Inspect main bearings. Replace if necessary.
Inspect big-end bearings. Replace if necessary.
Inspect crossheads and guides. Replace if necessary.
Inspect gudgeon pins and bushes. Replace if necessary.
Inspect oil pump. Replace if necessary.
